Day 65 of 108

Recognizing that everything is a process & there are no final answers or finish lines.
Food: plain blended banana smoothies, & loads of Halawy soft-squishy dates. -Like eating tiny glazed donuts!! -I went 'bananas' again. I ate enough calories to feed at least a quarter of the world & had a blast!
Exercise: 18min of meditation & kriya, 40min of walking stairs, & 40min of regular walking.
Water: 1L -I can't believe it. I've been so on track with my water over the last few weeks. What happened to me? Jeesh.
Sunshine: 2 hours of sun bliss! Suntan city! Ohhhhhhyeeeeaahhhhh...
Sleep: 4 hours -Bad, I know. I was hanging-out till 12:30am, then working on the computer till 3:30am, then woke up with no alarm clock at 7:30am. -This is not recommended! Get your Zzzzz!
Feelings: I can't tell you how good it feels to get moments of bright sun. Feels wonderful!
:)

Day 64 of 108

A visit from celery...
Food: plain blended banana smoothies, blended banana-celery(!) smoothie, (-the celery just slipped in there! I have no idea how!) & several romaine lettuce hearts.
Exercise: 30min of meditation/pranayama/kriya, 30min of jumping rope & 30min of mixed 'off the cuff' exercises.
Water: 3.5L
Sunshine: Not really. Too chilly.
Sleep: 3 hours, got up for an hour, then back to sleep for another 3 hours, -but I feel well rested.
Feelings: A little nervous about life & all the changes coming up for me. But it makes me feel very alive & very excited to be alive. Constant change, challenging myself & being open to new experiences are all good for me. They always bring me to a higher state & teach me something that I never forget. -But it does feel scary at times.

Food: plain blended banana smoothie #1, plain blended banana smoothie #2, a bunch of super-soft Halawy dates. -Mmmmm…
I thought what I ate would have been enough for the day, but it wasn't . I was out with friends tonight & got really hungry. I stopped in a grocery store to grab a hand of bananas. (Praying that there might be ripe ones!) No luck. So I grabbed a bunch of oranges & 2 clam shells of romaine lettuce hearts. Note to self: when trying to stick to only ripe bananas/dates/lettuce for a few weeks, -carry some with you! Especially if you are going to be out for 5 hours! Lesson learned.

Day 58 of 108

I have a little adventure I am going to try...

It's going to be 2-3 weeks (until a friend comes to town next month, then I will take a break for a few days & go back to it after they go), then pick-up where I left off for another 1-2 weeks. I want to try 30 days in total. The plan is to get really simple. I'm going to eat organic dates, bananas & various lettuces only. I'm doing this for a few reasons. The first reason is because I want to get leaner & healthier. With a diet like this (plus plenty of sunshine, water, happy thoughts & exercise), you are bound to shine. And I want to be as shiny as I can get! :) The second is because I would like to be a fruitarian & eat mostly whole fruits. Plain & simple. I don't want to have to spend time in the kitchen preparing things or depend on recipes to feel happy at meal times. I would like to to keep 'fancy' meals to special occasions, like when my friends or family are visiting with me. The third reason is to save time & money! Two things I could definitely use more of. I did the math & buying a few cases of organic bananas & dates for a month comes out way(!) cheaper than what I was spending on all of my cucumber, tomatoes, bell peppers, avocados, etc. I'll be saving hundreds of dollars. (-organic cucumbers & tomatoes are expensive!) Organic lettuce will still cost me a bit. But I can't give lettuce up for long. I always come back to it. It will still come out really cheap, even with the lettuce as my biggest expense. So it will be nice to have a month were time & money is saved. I'm planning a few trips this year (international & continental), so getting lighter, living lighter & saving money will serve me well in the months to come. That is the plan! I will also post my exercise, feelings, sunshine, water intake, etc. So you can see where I am at with everything while I am eating like this. I might post some videos of me too. :) So you can see (really see!) how things are evolving. -Xo!

Food: 1.5 liters of
datorade (dates blended with water), many soaked dates, date/lettuce wraps & a date/lettuce smoothie
Exercise: Ran stair repeats 3 sets x 10 (
afap), 30min of meditation/pranayama/kriya, 15min of skin brushing & a little walking
Water: 2L (but will get in another before the day is up)
Sunshine: 60minutes of sunbathing
Sleep: 8 hours in bed, 6 hours asleep (woke up with no alarm)
Feelings: Feel excited. Happy. Grateful.
:)

Day 52 of 108

Lots 'n' lots of dates
Big bowl of cucumber noodles with a yellow bell pepper-avocado-spinach sauce

I want to cut down my fat consumption. Too many avocados, coconut, durian, eating out, etc. lately. I'm feeling it. I had a few days this month of no-fat & it felt good. I'd like to try it again, but for longer. :) We'll see.
